S4_E1 How to manifest money (really)
Tuesday Oct 28, 2025
Tuesday Oct 28, 2025
There seem to be two seperate camps when it comes to money coaches...some are all about healing your inner child so you can manifest the life of your dreams, and the others are all savings jars, spreadsheets and budget planners. I don't think you can do one without the other! Even the gurus check their bank accounts, and if they don't then what will they do when they manifest their millions?
In this episode of My Happy Money Journey, Phoebe Blamey dives into why mindset work and manifesting are powerful… but not the whole game. There are your habits and systems as well, and we need to put it all together for the greater good. Because when we get our act together with our money it sets us free!
What we cover:
Why manifestation alone won’t save your bank account
Money wounds and how they can silently sabotage success
The systems wealthy women use behind closed doors
One small step you can take today to build confidence with money
How to turn fear into financial momentum
If you’re ready to stop hoping for money and start inviting it in with clarity and confidence this one’s for you.

S3_E43 Starting your own money journey: how to make the shift!
Tuesday Sep 23, 2025
Tuesday Sep 23, 2025
This is my very own story. It took me to sort my money out. I hid from it, I impulse shopped, I did a ton of low value spending...I never looked at my account unless I was transferring money at the checkout after my card declined.
I did ALL the dumb things.
and then I made a shift...and today I am sharing that with you.
I’m bringing it all together. This isn’t just about spreadsheets or financial hacks. It's three shifts (in no particular order) that changed my life and my money:
The Emotional Shift moving from shame and fear into ownership and power.
The Practical Shift building real systems, plugging leaks, creating cash cushions, and getting debt under control.
The Identity Shift moving from “I’m hopeless with money” to “I know exactly where my money’s going.”
Because money isn’t about more stuff — it’s about more life.
It’s the last episode of the season, and I want to start with a huge thank you. This year we’ve covered it all: from emergency funds and sexually transmitted debt, to investing, boundaries, divorce, and even how to bring a little adventure into our money lives.
And while this is the last episode of the season, we’re not done yet. Keep an ear out for my limited series Women Talk Wealth, coming soon.
Because of you, My Happy Money Journey has become one of Australia’s leading podcasts for women over 40. I’m deeply grateful for your time, your ears, and your trust.

Tuesday Sep 16, 2025
You know that money thing you know you should be doing, but somehow you never get around to? Yep today we are building your emergency fund.
In this episode I am going to show you how to save like a squirrel hoarding nuts for winter. This is your money, your financial freedom and possibly you FU fund. Whatever you call it, it is more than just a pile of cash. It’s peace of mind. It’s freedom. It's the stash that lets you walk away from a job, relationship, or situation that no longer serves you.
So why do we put off getting started?
Today we are taking a deep dive into money and the mindset around that question.
We’ll cover:
Why money slips through our fingers (and how to stop it)
The difference between a cash cushion and a true emergency fund
How to identify your money blocks and move through them
Practical ways to build it even if you only have small amounts
By the end, you’ll have both the woo woo and the practical tools to start building your emergency fund

S3_E40 Sexually Transmitted Debt; Love Lies and Money
Tuesday Sep 02, 2025
Tuesday Sep 02, 2025
Today we’re diving into a different kind of STD… one that spreads through love, trust, and silence: sexually transmitted debt.
This can look like a romance scam, on the other hand it can also look like the thing we just do in a relationship. Today I want to bust the money myth that we need to go along with what our significant other is doing in their business, that its somehow our responsibility to support our new partner and how to spot the signs that an STD might be coming your way...I also want to talk about how to support a friend experiencing an STD. Its something I have done wrong but I want to share the learning from that mistake.
Silence is expensive. Talking about money can save you thousands of dollars and a whole lot of heartache.
In this episode:
Melanie’s story – how one woman’s $40,000 loan for her dream man turned into five years of debt and heartbreak.
The emotional manipulation playbook – love bombing, gaslighting, guilt trips, and why smart women fall for these traps.
The psychology of money & love – how our brains are wired to trust, to hope, and how spotting it can help us change.
Why we ignore red flags – even when our friends are shouting at us about it
How to protect yourself – from keeping your own bank account, to spotting red flags, to setting boundaries that keep you and your money safe.
Key takeaway:
Being vulnerable with money doesn’t mean you’re weak it means you’re human. The solution isn’t to hide all alone with your shame. You can build skills, safety nets, and support systems. Protecting your assets is smart. Saying no is really hard but you are not alone. .

S3_E39 Stop Being the Bank: Boundaries with Partners, Parents & Kids
Tuesday Aug 26, 2025
Tuesday Aug 26, 2025
We all think we’re supposed to look after everyone our partners, our parents, our kids, our grandkids. But what happens when that “responsibility” becomes a financial trap? This week I’m diving deep into the messy middle of money and relationships when love, obligation, and trust get tangled up with bank balances.
I’ll take you inside real-life stories from workshops and coaching sessions:
When a partner’s business collapses and you’re the one propping it up
When a sibling might be financially exploiting your ageing parent
When kids (or the “Bank of Mum and Dad” culture) expect more than you can afford
We’ll talk about difficult conversations, long-term thinking, and why “no” is a complete sentence. Most importantly you’ll walk away with the tools and permission to protect your financial future without blowing up your relationships.

Tuesday Aug 12, 2025

When you’re over 50 and suddenly find yourself without a job, it’s more than a career hiccup it’s a seismic life shift. Add menopause, aging parents, adult kids moving home, or divorce, and it’s a perfect storm.
This week, Phoebe dives into the uncomfortable reality: women over 55 in Australia take, on average, 20 months to find new work (seriously) more than double the time of younger candidates. But that “forced pause” can be the catalyst for something far more exciting than you expected.
We’ll cover:
Why redundancy rates and re-employment times hit women over 50 harder
How to run your own “financial first aid” in the days after losing a job
The critical role of knowing your burn rate
How to plug your money leaks with the free 30-Day Spend Cleanse calendar (linked below)
The surprising industries that do value mature female leadership
Why AI literacy could be your best career insurance policy
Smart, lean ways to start a business when venture capital is not flowing to women
Whether you’ve just been laid off or you’re quietly thinking “what if?”, this episode is about building a plan, protecting your finances, and reinventing your work life on your terms.
